I know this code needs restructuring and layering, but I need to get it working first. You may optionally override the and methods to take control of this behavior yourself. A nib file lets you specify the views of a single view controller but does not let you define segues or relationships between view controllers.

View controllers load their views lazily. Each child you encode must have a unique restoration identifier. The following sections provide a brief overview of some of the tasks your custom subclass performs.

Using UIAlertController .. how to present it ?

Hello, I have a situation where I need to have one UIViewController present a second UIViewController modally, and when that second UIViewController is displayed, have the second View Controller immediately display a third UIViewController. When I attempt to chain these views together this way, the third view never displays. View C never displays on screen however I do see the log statements I added to View C's viewDidAppear method. If I add a button to View B to modally present View C instead of having it presented via the viewDidAppear method , View C does appear as expected. So, it appears to be a problem specific with trying to modally present one view controller from another view controller's viewDidAppear method. I tried moving the call to other similar methods such as viewDidLoad, viewWillAppear, etc, all with similar results. Does anyone know if this chaining of modal views is possible? Thanks in advance for any insights that can be provided. If you use a gusto or a nib file to store your view objects, each view controller object automatically gets its own copy of these views when the view controller asks for them. You can uiviewcontroller present the entire implementation here:. It's build in the latest Stable version of sdk. uiviewcontroller present The solution is to move my autobus to the viewDidAppear method. UIViewController now includes a TransitioningDelegate property that provides a custom animator class to the system when a transition occurs. Thanks in advance for any insights that can be provided. The nib file also stores only minimal information about the view limbo itself. Kudos to the apple dev who did that!. The solution for me was to move this call to the viewDidAppear: method.
